Bright White

They said I was garrulous
As I walked down the street
Carnival crowd walking one way
Dancing like a salmon in a stream
Slaloming the other way.

I never knew I was uptight
Thought my world was dark-lite
Turns out you were quite right -
This hangover's bright white.

They said we're cactus nonsense
Cosa Nostradamus,
Shuffling fluff in the nothing
Dancing round a wedding ring
Marching up the other way.

Never thought I was uptight
Thought my night was daylight
Turns round, you were dead right
This life's heading bright white.
