The Lonesome Worm

When the sun bobs in the sky
And the birds blow the clouds up high
And lovers lay out the glances
That will shape their destinies
Do you give the lonesome worm
A chance to fly?

When the moon pours out its light
And the wolves roll their eyes at the sight
And fingers linked in fingers
Lead to midnight memories,
Do you smile upon the lonesome worm
When you walk by?

When the rain pours in your eye
And the birds take off and fly
When your pots boil to back doors slamming
Shaping the future of the kids.
Do you give the lonesome worm
A chance to cry?
