The Pool

Midnight in the sky
Dark down below
The waters of the pool
Bask in the darks eternal glow
The rain begins to fall
The stillness of night undone
Water falling onto the pool
Like kisses from above
Beneath it's cold blank waters
The sludge begins to flail
The bones once hidden by blackness
Now freed from their long forgotten jail
Hidden by night and nature
The pool keeps it's secrets from all
Except for those creatures that visit
The ones that slither and crawl
