Without a Sleeve

Like a blanket that's just right for every time or season
With a smile and word covering every single reason.
Half a world away or within whispering inches
You are everything to me, the one moment that never changes.

Could one, just another, be as meaningful to me
I find it unlikely, in FACT an impossibility.
You light up my midnight, spare my life from the hole
You're the one that loves me without having to be told

Before we were feted to be together under this sun
I never imagined I would feel so connected, this two now as one.
I can now no longer want for nothing, except to have you never leave
For without you I'm only a rambling suit of clothing, a shirt without a sleeve.
