I was having a patchwork cloud afternoon
All poured out words and patched up doubts.
The rain got me thinking of brighter days
And those endless nights were warm.
I was guiding a made up paper flotilla
All whirling waves on a winding river
But the banks made me think of calmer times
When these rainy nights were warm
And my family were all home.
