Day Lights

Dreams all move grey and grainy

Your smile pauses then goes in reverse

Like chewed-up footage in a VCR.

I still press pause and watch.

I'm about to move in for our first kiss

And you're looking at me

Wondering if we ever will.

Then we did.

Now the men take out all our stuff

And we start to say goodbye to us

And reflect on mirrors

Neither of us want to see

Followed by:

The uselessness of day lights

And trinkets

And souvenirs

and all the other things.
