This is my last letter to you.
First comes the upbeat part
About what a life we'll have
Now our lives are all boxed up.
Next comes the part I say;
When the memories subside
We'll learn to laugh away
The winner of this worthless ride.
Then I write "I love you"
And other things romantic -
Beg to have my baby back
Without you I'm just frantic.
Last, I seal it with a kiss
And place it on the fireplace.
I'll wait until the flames take hold
Forever in its warm embrace.
