Final Mantra

I'm boarding the plane
Red-eyed and scared
Of who I was leaving.
Earlier this day
We said our farewells -
A lump in her throat
And a ring in my coat.
Now, I'm taking off
And make your fun if you must
But I'm picking out the borough
she's living in.
And there's the plan of her estate
And there are the cars that move around.
And there's the snicket to her street
And there are the rows of houses
And there's her driveway.
Keep her safe, keep her safe,
Keep her safe.
