I'm a walker
Taking steps
Away from you
And you are
the missed opportunity
I swore I'd
Never relive:
Hunched in a bar
When I'm fifty
Or rocking
Back and
Fearing every
Sunset at eighty,
The missed penalty
The job you
Never took
The move you
Never made
The six you
Never struck
The journey
You regret
The words said
The balance you upset
Now, I'm a rocker
Rocking forth
And thinking back
Too busy revelling
In youthful impunity
To care for
A missed opportunity.
