Too Easy To Delete

I write these things that no-one reads
We treat those words like words could never harm
But harm never did any wrong, you only took it the wrong way.
Words linger longer than wounds that heal,
Falling deeper onto paper, into cyberspace, out into the ether.

So put down that glass with wine SO rouge
Ignore the words that say NO these words could harm
My form, my stature, my career, my anti-career, my opinion of myself and one other.
Just what kind of harm can all these words do tonight
When you know as well as I do, no-one reads what we write
