Time

I paused the DVD,
And put the TV on standby,
Took the tongue from the tick of the clock
By taking out its battery.

I closed the windows,
So the curtains would be still
And took the busy ants
From the windowsill.

I stopped the record from
Spinning sweet memories,
Then when I was complete,
