Well, I turned on my baby...
She didn't need to ask...
She gave me her number...
Said, "you'd better call me back".
I thought, "well, thanks, that would seem satisfactory,
After all, what could I possibly have in this whole goddamn crazy, definitely disappointing, frequently beguiling world to lose?"
So, I switched on my mobile...
She wasn't on the line...
Probably working the night shift,
And I felt fine.
Then I thought, "She's not working a night shift at all, she's taking you for some crazy, anal fool - you anal. Fucking. Tool.".
And I followed it up by thinking "I could be wrong - and probably am - but may not be either, but possibly - just maybe (though admittedly not likely) - my mobile phone's gone on the blink?"
So I switched on my mobile,
And caught the back end of my
mobile phone not working no more blues.
