We live in a void, a life absent of reason or logic, the darkness is overwhelming, but as it is always there we do not notice it, oblivious to it's devouring of our being.
Then, from the darkness a brilliant all encompassing light, a light that shatters the darkness, pushes it away like a raft on a tideless sea. The light becomes your reason to go on, your reason to see around every corner, to press on.
But all too soon the light dims, moves on to a better place where it can shine forever more, it's then that the darkness creeps back in like an old friend or an unavoidable habit and the memory of the light fades enveloped in the darkness, but not enough that It will never cease to the one reason that we struggle through the pit for even the smallest glimpse of the light that changes your day, your life, your soul.
